BI Academy Panel: Financing Early Stage Companies

The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) 619 W. 54th St., New York

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals is calling all NYC life science entrepreneurs to BI Academy – Financing Early Stage Companies.  Panel topic: Financing for Early Stage Companies The old adage that friends, fools and families were those you approached to finance your start-up may have been true in the past, but is certainly antiquated today. Today, companies are presented with many new options including: disease foundations, family funds, venture philanthropists, corporate strategic funds and corporations willing to make direct seeds stage investments–in addition to more traditional investors like angel investors and VCs. All of these options come with different constraints, and like a recipe, some go well with others, and some much less so. Join for a great discussion on understanding the different funding sources and how they can and cannot work together optimally. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking reception for you to meet the panelists, BI executives and fellow entrepreneurs.
