Letter of Support Requests

Faculty can request letters of support for their grant applications through Mount Sinai Innovation Partners (MSIP). Requests should be submitted via the MSIP Agreement Portal by selecting “Letter of Support” as the agreement type.

Upon submission, an email confirmation will be sent, and additional information may be requested if needed.

  1. What is the best timeline to submit a letter of support request?

It’s best to submit your letter of support request at least 1–2 weeks before the deadline to allow time for review, and any follow-up questions.

  1. When will I be contacted after submitting my request?

A confirmation email will be sent by our system. If additional information or changes are needed, you can expect to be contacted within 1-3 business days of submitting your request. If no further details are required, we will reach out once the letter has been completed.

  1. What is the typical timeframe for completing these letters?

Letters are typically completed within 3-7 business days, depending on the complexity of the request and the availability of required information. If you have a specific deadline, please include it in the request form so we can do our best to accommodate it.

  1. Is this request form only for letters from Mount Sinai Innovation Partners (MSIP), or does it also include other groups across the institution?

This request form is specifically for letters that are being directly requested from Mount Sinai Innovation Partners. It does not apply to letters from other departments or groups within the institution.
